Description
This is a customer trade in PVS-14 that was in fairly rough shape but was worth saving. I replaced the battery compartment and thoroughly cleaned the unit. The eyepiece lens needed new outer components which I replaced. A new purge screw, and 2 missing screws were also replaced. The plastic housing that maintains the objective lens glass has a small chip missing from the outer plastic portion. Since the glass was in great shape, and that plastic portion isn’t replaceable, I placed a new sacrificial lens on the unit which effectively covers the missing chip. There is a Harris manufactured MX-11769/UV High Performance manual gain GP tube. Contact No. W9124Q-05-D-0821. Gen 3 OMNI VII Autogated.
Despite the noticeable zone 1 blem, the tube really performs nicely and is very clear.
If you’re looking for a great entry level used PVS-14 and you can live with the blem, this unit is a bargain.
