J & G Meakin Royal Ironstone Rectangular Platter
Measuring 11" by 8-1/8", this older-vintage ironstone platter is in good to very good condition with no chips, cracks, or crazing.  The piece features an embossed scallop on the top set in from the perimeter edge.  The top surface has some normal utensil scratches from previous use, and there are several slightly darker spots on the top surface.  The most noticeable of these is a 3/8" area with some slight roughness from some small burst glaze bubbles.  This spot can be seen in the second and third photos.  The glaze overall has some unevenness in thickness, more noticeable on the underside, and there are a few darker marks in the glaze on the underside edge, which look to be from the firing process.
